We all know Italdesign – Italian design studio with skills, passion and dedication for automotive design. Italdesign is responsible for iconic cars like Volkswagen golf I, Fiat Panda, BMW M1, Lotus Esprit, Lancia Delta and DeLorean DMC-12 from the Movie Back to the Future.

Italdesign is designing, engineering, prototyping, testing cars for over than 50 years, in 2017 they have produced their first car – Italdesign 01. Therefore, it seems to be very classical Automotive Company.

The industry is changing tremendously, so there is a need for new concepts, new thinking and new ideas. Italdesign answered to new trends with Mobility Solutions department created in 2018 and it brought the end of traditional business. Italdesign is now acting as global integrator among all relevant stakeholders and partners to deliver a service suited to the context and already creating three futuristic platforms.

Pop.Up Next, the first fully electric and zero-emission modular system, designed by Airbus and Italdesign

In 2018 Italdesign and Airbus world premiered Pop.Up, the first modular, fully electric, zero emission concept designed to relieve traffic congestion in crowded megacities. Pop.Up envisages a modular system for multi-modal transportation that makes full use of both ground and airspace.

The Moby project was created for Toyota Mobility Foundation’s Mobility Unlimited Challenge. It is supporting radical improvements in the mobility and independence of people with lower-limb paralysis through smarter assistive technology and gathered 80 entries from 28 countries around the world. The inTO project was designed with the aim to have more comfortable journey on a subway, to balance the fillings of the train, redistributing the passengers between the different coaches.
